This week's photo is another gem and a second find of the old town of Mitchellville (Monte Lerio).  I posted another photo taken at the Cafe Manana in Mitchellville back in September 2005 (click here) that was sent in by Vicente Pascual.  I was digging through a box that was sent to me by Dorman S. Conklin, Jr. that has a bunch of great photos that his father Dormant Stahl Conklin, Sr. kept from his days in Panama during the construction days.  Dorman Sr. was a Conductor on the dirt trains during the construction days.  There is no identification as to who is who in the photo, but it is a mounted photo with "Monte Lerio C.Z - April 18, 1911" hand written on the back of the mounting.

You know, this is what I love about all these great old photos that come from personal collections.  I will be posting more from the collection in the next few weeks.
