Back to the Richard Erbe collection this week. This is a classic
photo showing the newly constructed housing in Diablo Heights.
This photo is of Endicott Street in 1953. Behind the new housing
are the older four family houses which were off Haines Street which was
one of the entrances to the town of Diablo. The two larger
buildings behind the four family houses were store house buildings 42-G
and 42-D along the main highway (Diablo Road) not far from where the
photo of the week showing Section I and the rolling stock yard that I
posted a few weeks ago. Also in the distance you can see Ancon
Hill with the Administration Building and to the right Sosa Hill.
The housing areas in the Canal Zone were always so very nice in the day.
Great snap shot in time.
