Last week I posted a photo of the brand new Balboa Train Station, well this week from the same photo album, here is a photo of the brand new Balboa Stadium.  It is unfortunate that part of the photo has the dark smudge, but the rest of the photo is great!  Most of us don't remember the way the original stadium looked like here.  The bleachers and roof was removed and all that was left was the concrete base.  A new set of bleachers was constructed in the area of the smudge with steel beams later.
