Following along with the life and times of Michael Carroll here is another great photo of Michael and friends somewhere in the jungle with what a imagine is a dirt train spur.  Here Michael (front right) and friends equipped once again with a rifle are orchid hunting.  Yes, I said orchid hunting.  The writing on the back of the photo says, "1911, Level Gatun, where you could get orchids by shooting them off the tree bark".  Imagine that!!  It never ceases to amaze me what the Canal Builders did for fun back in the day.
