Photo of the Week

This week, a couple more great photos from the Dorman S. Conklin, Sr. collection. Check out this guy riding on a dock mule (for a lack of better words) and pulling small flat bed cars. I am assuming this was the way some cargo was moved around on the docks in the day. This is no doubt taken at the Cristobal piers. (Date unknown) I just love the old top hat the operator is wearing.

The photo below shows a whole fleet of a different type of dock mule all lined up. Once again, at the Cristobal piers.
