This is another great photo from  Ron Armstrong.  This photo was probably take the same day and the Photo of the Week for August 19, 2012. The photo caption reads, "Ancon Baseball Park. View of  the crowd from the grand stand during athletic meet. July 4, 1912". What a great time the builders of the Panama Canal had back in the day.  The Canal Zone was always the best place to live for generations.  Check out the long tents on the side of the hill.  I wonder what they were for?  Another note, what is the water body in the background.  Didn't know Ancon had any ponds or lakes.  Could be the swamp where Albrook Field was filled in later.
