This week's photo is real classic photo that I recently got from
Ed Armbruster. This photo's caption reads, "Dredging
Division Activities: Ferry. View showing improvised ferry taken over
from U.S. Army operating between east and west side of Pedro Miguel
Locks, Gaillard Cut section June 30, 1928". Really cool
photo! This was the only way to get vehicles over the left over
west bank towns. Paraiso is seen in the background with the
Dredging Division headquarters in place at this time. Gamboa
isn't built yet. Both Ajax and Hercules cranes are docked.
Not the old 1920 vintage cars. Great old photo. Thanks to
