Photo of the Week
July 8, 2012

This is another great photo from  Ron Armstrong.  The scene is a passenger train at the Panama City train station.  This locomotive is one of the Panama Railroad's larger steam locomotives built in 1904 by the American Locomotive Company, Brooks Works.  Purchased by the P.R.R. at $12,550 each. This locomotive is #657 from the P.R.R. Class 651 - 662 which means there were only 11 of these class locomotives owned by the P.R.R. The passenger coaches were built by the American Car & Foundry Company.

Thank you Ron for another great photo.
