Photo of the Week

I have been waiting to post this photo for weeks. This is probably one of the most exciting photos I have ever seen in this French Dredges series. We have all seen the ladder dredges in the past weeks, but here is the mother of all!! This beast is a suction dredge. It is tied up I surmise near the mouth of the French Canal with a very handsome building in view. I also surmise that this building could very well have been the headquarter office building. Only a surmise, but seems logical. I have never seen this photo from post French construction days, so it may have been demolished when the Americans took over the task.

More mouth watering stuff!! I love it.
