Photo of the Week
August 21, 2011

Two more
great photos from the Fred and Lilian Ramsey collection that was sent to me by Richard Crowe who is Fred Ramsey's Great Nephew.

This week's photos are from a portion of the photo album called "With Friends In Ancon".  The album has notes below the photos which say, (photo above) "Mrs. Ramsey & Mrs Keedy  Ancon Apr 06" and (photo below) "Trooper and I at Ancon   Apr 15. 06".  It appears that Fred's nickname was Trooper. The photo below shows both Lilian and Fred at the Keedy's home in Ancon.  It appears also that the Keedy's had two boys (seated on front seat above).

The houses seen in these photos are most likely left from the French era as the
architecture is not like that of the typical American constructed house in the zone at the time.  Note the fancy design on the porch support post as we saw a few weeks ago on the Ramsey bungalow photo.  I am not sure if these two photos were taken on the same day as Lilian appears to be wearing a different hat and she is not wearing the cross necklace in both photos.  Lilian is also holding a grand bouquet of flowers in the lower photo.  Might have been Easter time.

I love the large water tower next the Keedy home.  I very well may have been the water source for the houses on this street.  And of course the old carriage is really nice.  Very fancy!

As always...super great photos and capture in time.

Many more great photos coming in the weeks ahead.
