Photo of the Week
July 10, 2011

Sorry for the intermission the last two weeks.  As Reunion Coordinator for the Panama Canal Society Annual Reunion, I have been extremely busy in the preparation and execution of the reunion.  Hopefully we are now back on schedule with the reunion being over.

Two more  photos from the Fred and Lilian Ramsey collection that was sent to me by Richard Crowe who is Fred Ramsey's Great Nephew.

This week's photos are a follow up from the last photo of the week showing Fred and Lilian Ramsey's bungalow on the inside.  Quite a nice place for a 1905 house sitting on the edge of the massive canal construction taking place.  The top photo looks like their dinning room and the second photo below is Lilian standing next to her tea service table in an elegant house coat. This is great stuff with the capture of the inside of a house back then.  A wonderful capture in time.

Once again,  this photo was taken at the old Marine base, Camp Elliott (1905 - 1907). This information taken from Richard Crowe's comments about the photo collection.

Many more great photos coming in the weeks ahead.
