Continuing with our trip to Panama, The beach was full of activity throughout the day.  We loved watching the little Sandpipers running along the beach looking for food.  The waves would go out and they would scurry onto the just exposed sand digging for little crabs and other beach bugs.  The wave would come crashing back in and they would run as fast as they could to outrun the approaching water.  These are two of my favorite photos that I took of the Sandpipers.  I did a search on the Internet and believe these were Western Sandpipers that winter on the Pacific coast between Northern California and Northern Peru.
