Here are two very rare old photos also from the Muybridge collection.  I was very excited to see these as this is the old town of Chagres in 1875.  Chagres was the town at the base and rear of Fort San Lorenzo.  I have another photo of the week from January 2003 (click here) showing other photos and more information.

We found many a good bottle and treasures out of the area that was once the town of Chagres.  It is now all swamp.
