This week's photo is another from the Brown collection taken during the
construction of the Balboa Dry Dock. This photo is that of a
Traveling Concrete Plant which was the brain child of Mr. J. A. Walker,
superintendent in charge of the construction of the Balboa
terminals. Much of the terminals construction took place when the
Balboa Dry Dock was constructed. This photo was probably
that of a pier constructed adjacent to the dry dock. The Traveling
Concrete Plant is another great invention that was manufactured to
facilitate work done by the Panama Canal. What a wonderful
enterprise our great early day fore fathers created. Read this
