I was very fortunate to obtain an old photo album that has quite a few photos taken during the construction of the Balboa Dry Dock.  I found reference to a Harvey H. Brown as owner of the photo album, so I will call this the Harvey H. Brown collection.  There are many very historic photos from start to finish of the old dry dock construction.  I hope to post a complete set of these as time permits.   This week's photo is a very interesting one showing two miniature steam locomotives used during the construction.  They are down in the almost finished chamber.  Note the temporary ties that the tracks are set on. Here are a bunch of guys clowning around what looks like on their day off.  Too clean and well dressed to be working clothes.  One of these may very well be Mr. Brown.
