As a follow up from last week and as promised, here is a great photo of General George Goethals (in white) standing beside Goethals' railway motorcar with motorman Sam Grier (to the left of the car) and several unidentified distinguished persons.  The railcar was originally a bright yellow and had the nickname "The Yellow Peril".  Photo taken in 1905.  What a stunning old motorcar!  The women was probably Mrs. Goethals and note the signature black umbrella.
