The Photo of the Week this week is a very nice and peaceful scene on an old colorized post card titled "Picturesque Scene, Balboa, Canal Zone".  I really liked this old post card the first time I saw it and had to make the purchase.  This photo was probably taken in the early days of the town of Balboa.  We have four children and a West Indian maid.  Not sure why the photographer took this photo while the maid was bending over and doing something with the infant.  It would have been nice if all those in the photo were facing the camera.  But, life was simple back then as it appears in this photo.  Many times I wish I could go back during these early days in the Canal Zone.  Life was good.
