A couple of weeks ago, I posted a photo of search lights and listening
device equipment in Fort Amador. That was very early vintage
equipment. This week's photo is another simply magnificent photo
taken in early 1940s in Fort Amador. The photo came from a photo
album that belonged to a 63rd C.A.C. (Coastal Artillery Company)
soldier. The photo is showing a search light drill in
progress. Wow...what a magnificent sight this is an must have been
in real life. I don't recognize the buildings in the distance, but
while reviewing other photos in the album, there were many temporary
wooden buildings erected in Fort Amador during this time frame.
