This week's photo is a great aerial photo of Culebra Cut near Gamboa Penitentiary looking towards the Pacific.  Things always look easier from the air.  You can see the Gamboa bridge, the penitentiary prior to Operation Just Cause, and the Cut prior to the extensive widening it has taken place.  The river you see on the mid-right of the photo is the Mandinga River.  I don't know where to start in trying to explain how much of this Big Ditch has been transformed with the extensive widening project. In this photo, I see so many old bottle hunting spots!!
