Photo of the Week
February 3, 2008

This week's photos are a group of three old colorized post cards showing what the original La Boca looked like.  We all know what the La Boca of our times looked like, but it all started here.  The original town of La Boca was on the oposite side of Sosa Hill that we knew of as La Boca.  It faced the future port of Balboa, Balboa Shops, Dry Dock, etc.  This area where the old town settled later turned into a full operation quarry.

This old town looked pretty nice in it's golden days.  I have posted two more views below.

A long forgotten past of our Canal Zone history.  Long live the original, our era and present day La Boca.
