When I think of Labor Day, my first thought is my daughter, as this is her birthday.  My second thought is of those laborers that worked harder than most could even comprehend today.  The laborers that dug the Panama Canal.  I can't imagine the strength and stamina that it took to do this work in the midst of disease, Panama heat, slides, flooding and accidents.  This week's photos are a salute to all these great men and women that labored to make one of the worlds greatest engineering feats a reality.
