Well, I am a day or two short of my usual Sunday posting, but the reunion had it's toll on me with what I call "Reunion Lag".  Not that I indulged in too many spirits, but too much work!  My pedometer clocked in just over 50 miles of walking and running around taking care of business during the event.  

My photos  this week are from the highlight of this year's reunion.  We had the great honor to have the now four CD famous "Shorty and Slim" (Dave Seitz and Alex Reyes - Zone Buays) perform this year at our annual luncheon.  They also did a quick two song set at the Friday night dance.  The attendees went wild!!  These guys are good and to top it off, Shorty's family are part of the band.  Below, Melanie and Katherine Seitz sing back up vocals for many of the Shorty and Slim songs.  If you ever wonder where those sweet nightingale voices come from in their back up vocals, here they are.  Dave's wife Mayra also sings back up, but I didn't get a good photo of her.

Anyway...it was great and everyone loved to finally hear the great Shorty and Slim live instead of on a CD.  Who knows, maybe Shorty and Slim will be coming back next year for the 2008 Panama Canal Society Reunion.  Stay tuned...
