Photo of the Week
October 8, 2006

This week's photo is a classic that I scanned out of a Canal Zone Government / Panama Canal Company booklet called Living and Working in the Canal Zone.  This will bring back many memories to us Baby Boomers that remember going to Elementary School in the new concrete schools like Los Rios, Diablo, Margarita, Fort Gulick, etc.  I am not sure what year this photo was taken, but it is evident that there wasn't air-conditioning in the school yet as the windows are open.  Can you imagine that we went to school without air conditioning? I don't know what school this is, but it is typical of the more modern concrete schoolsl
