Photo of the Week

Okay folks..another great vintage photo of early Balboa. A few weeks ago I posted some great old shots taken of this same area, but looking from the area near St. Mary's school and towards the Catholic Church. This week's photo is taken from La Boca Road looking towards the Administration Building. The Administration Building can be seen in the distance looking up Barnebey Street. The new cement housing can be seen on Barnebey Street. The older wooden buildings seen along Balboa Road are a mystery to me. I hope someone out there can identify what these buildings were. The Chase Manhattan Bank, Knights of Columbus and Pilots Association Buildings stood in these lots in my time.

What a super old photo and capture of a era now just barely a memory.
