Photo of the Week

Here is a very interesting old colorized post card that I have in my collection. It is entitled "Ambulance Ancon Hospital, Canal Zone (Panama)". This must have been a very early photo. I like the straw sided stretcher. When I first saw this card, I thought they may have been loading a dead person in to an old hearse. I surmise that the man in the green clothing, boots and hat is the driver. EMT of the old days? Could also have been a doctor.
