An interesting three photos are the photos of the week this week.  Bob Wong, CZ Images contributor sent me these chance of a life time images.
    The photo above is at Balboa Stadium in 1946 with Joe DiMaggio at bat.  The Yankees played the "All Stars" that day.  Bob was wondering if these were local players.  This could have been a tour supporting troop morale in the Canal Zone.  Note the Balboa Bowling Alley in the background.  Also, these are the old grandstands that were demolished later to make way for the ones there today.
     Below top shows the outfield wall with local advertising.  Not the Stars and Stripes flying in the back near the trees along Roosevelt Avenue.
     Below bottom shows Charlie Keller in the middle posing for photos by the troops.  Another good shot of the bowling alley in the back.
