Another great old photo from the Richard Erbe collection.  This official PCC photo is titled 4:00 o'clock shift - laborers leaving Cristobal Dock area, Canal Zone - November 1940.
     I started looking closely to this photo and found it amazing how many workers there actually are lined up on the sidewalk.  There must be several hundred men that can be seen all the way down the street.  What a big operation it must have been in those days to employ so many on the docks.
