Photo of the Week

This week's photos are two outstanding aerial post cards of Miraflores and Gatun Locks. What I found to be the most interesting is the excellent view of the Third Locks Project excavation. Excavation is seen to the right of the Miraflores Locks and to the left of the Gatun Locks. As you can see, extensive excavation was done before the project was halted because of WWII. Another very interesting thing about the Gatun Locks photo below is the old French Canal can be clearly seen off to the right or west bank of the Canal.
