Happy New Year everyone!!  I pray that 2003 brings our world to peace and better times.

This week's image is a classic old colorized post card showing the town of San Pablo.  What you see here is all underwater now and always amazes me of how the erased towns during the lake flooding of the Panama Canal construction.  This card mentions that the large building in the center of the photo is the San Pablo I.C.C. Hotel.  All the building shown were probably disassembled and moved to a new town site or burned.

I have SCUBA dived many times on this old town and probably swam through the street shown here.

Long live the submerged history of the Panama Canal!!
