Very early colorized postcard of Carr Street in the Balboa Flats.  This is a great photo showing how the housing looked prior to the newer style housing being built.  The old wooden Balboa High School can be seen at the end of the road which was replaced with the cement building we all knew as the Balboa Elementary School at the end.  The Administration Building can be seen on the hill.  I found the multiple color flowers seen in the hedges and vines around the houses.  The artist that colorized this originally black and white photo got a little carried away.  We had colorful flowers, but not like these shrubs are showing.
