Photo of the Week
July 9, 2017

I am a day late this week as I was coming home from the Annual Panama Canal Society Reunion yesterday.  Everyone had a wonderful time and another successful reunion done.

Continuing with the Brown collection this week is another great shot from the hill overlooking the Gatun Train Station and Locks.  The massive emergency dams are in place and this photo gives you the perspective of how large they were.  Note the center wall light house is not white, but painted with camouflage as this was war time.  I will post a couple of others in the weeks to come that show more camouflage specifically on the control house.

More of these mid 40's photos in the coming weeks.
