With Thanksgiving only day away, I wanted to post a photo with a Thanksgiving theme from back home in the Canal Zone.  I found this old photo that was published in the November 5, 1954 Panama Canal Review showing students at Balboa Elementary School dressed as Pilgrims and Indians. The caption under the photo is: " Thanksgiving's Thanksgiving, even the Pilgrims are wearing Guatemalan shirts and saddle oxfords.  And Indians cam be just as fierce in khaki pants as their can in buckskins.  If the background looks suspiciously like Balboa elementary school, that's because it is."

No article or names were offered in this issue, but what a great life we had back home in the Canal Zone.
