Continuing in the same area and Washington Hotel are three great photos from the Ralph Sartor photo collection taken during the construction of the Washington Hotel and swimming pool.  The photo above shows the framework of the new Washington Hotel and Christ Church in the background.  The ocean fed swimming pool is being used, but still under construction. I can't believe that this guy is diving at such a high level when the pool at this  time wasn't that deep.  I have posted photos in the past this pool (click here) showing the completed pool and then a couple of photos that I took in 2003 of what is left of the pool today.  The bottom photo shows the pool close to being completed but the seawall isn't up yet and the hotel is still being built.  The construction day workers had a good time back in the day.
