A very historic day for the country and people of Panama today as the first commercial ship makes it's first transit.  I have been watching the festivities live on YouTube for the last couple of hours and made some screen captures as the "Cosco Shipping Panama" container ship moves towards Gatun Lake.  There were many speeches, fireworks and on-stage entertainment during the event.  It is now 12:40 pm here in Florida and the live feed is still going on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pRwezRyy8w the announcers are talking about this video feed going on all day with different coverage's of the ship's transit.  This link will more than likely be saved for future viewing if you didn't watch it today.  Below are some more screen captures from the live feed.
