This week's photo is a scan of a 1950's vintage Dextone photo postcard titled Fort Kobbe Non Commissioned Officers' housing and Enlisted Men's Barracks.  According to a map I have, I believe these buildings are actually within the Howard AFB boundary. The Howard AFB runway, hangers and Cerro Galera are seen in the distance.  This photo is a blast from the past for those who either lived and/or worked in Fort Kobbe/Howard AFB.  This photo must have been taken during the dry season as all the grass is very brown.  This photo must have been taken from the hill behind the housing area.   Kobby/Howard expanded much more later in years as the population grew.
