Here is a classic image that many will not recognize unless you were a avid target shooter at one of the Canal Zone gun clubs. This photo taken by Perry Truxton is that of the high power 200 yard range.  This is where the big bore rifles fired.  I don't have any idea who those in the photo are.

My Dad signed my brother and I up for the Balboa Gun Club Junior Saturday morning 22 rifle group.  We shot for years and enjoyed our Saturday mornings there at the old BGC.  

Sometimes the big boys showed up and shoot their big bore rifles as shown above while we were there.  Talk about noise!! 

Balboa Gun Club was set up for all kinds and types of weapons to target shoot.  What a great place!
