Photo of the Week
Another photo from Thomas collection this week. This collection has some notations of 1916 - 1920. This photo jumped out at me and spent a good hour zooming in and studying these West Indian workers. The photo was with other photos taken during the construction of the town of Balboa as was the photo of the Titchfield man. These men's clothes appear to be clean except the scraggly one in the back row, third from the left. Ditch diggers were usually very dirty. The man in the back row appears to be of a lighter complexion and possible a Spaniard. Most of the men have a little fob hanging from their belts which would be their ID tag. What a great people study photo. |
