Photo of the Week
Another great photo this week from the National Archives. Here is a 12-family quarters building in Diablo Hts. back in 1952. This is the type of house my mother and father lived in when I was born, but in Williamson Place in Balboa. My folks moved to Diablo after I was born and I seem to remember that my dad told me they moved into another 12-family, These old 12-family houses were built during the 3rd locks construction boom in the 1940s to house workers. I am not sure I would like to have lived in one of the buildings in my adult year. It would be like roach manor... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU DADS OUT THERE. |
