Photo of the Week
I posted a similar photo from the same collection back in 2017 and looks like it was taken on the same day but without the instructor. I was looking through this album again that was sent to me by the Brown family of Gatun from 1944 - 1946. I didn't see this photo the first time around and like it so much I had to post it as it shows the pool office, the bleachers and gym. I have no names of the instructor or kids. I guess Gatun Pool has a special part of my life as I got my first full time job in the Gatun Gym and then pool in the early to mid 1970s. This photo brings back so many memories. It is all gone now....at least the pool is because of damage sustained in building the new locks.
