While continuing research on the National Archives website I found this very historic photo. Here we have the construction of the Balboa Theater underway in Balboa, Canal Zone in 1949. I have never seen this photo or any other photo of this construction. What a great capture in time and appears to be well built as it is still standing after 72 years.
