Photo of the Week
November 28, 2020

Continuing with the  Alfred G. Bedell collection.  These photos showing this week are a great series showing the ground breaking and early construction of the Hotel Washington in Colon.  I have never seen any photo documentation of the hotel's construction, so these photos are priceless for historical study.  Alfred and his friend are surveying the site above in the nasty mud.  I am sure the man with the white shoes will regret this outing.  You can see Alfred's photo bulb ball line being squeezed by his right hand to trigger his camera. The middle photo has a great shot of the old Christ Church.

More next week.
