Photo of the Week

A site we saw all of our lives is now gone forever. I posted several photos in the past year showing the slow demise of the Miraflores Locks Swing Bridge and now it is totally gone. The pedestals and turrets are still there, but I am sure will be gone in a mater of time. It sure looks strange with out our old bridge there as shown in the red bordered insert. So long old friend.

Photos below show the two bridges setting on the west shore of the Canal off Miraflores Lake and the very bottom photo shows miscellaneous parts being hauled away to be recycled...I hope.
