Photo of the Week

Here is another wonderful photo that Don Scheltmeyer's collection of 35mm slides. Another real classic capture in time showing a local banana boat loading bananas on one of the Panama Line ships. Since the majority Don's photos are of the SS Ancon, this was probably the SS Ancon. I find it interesting how the did this loading of bananas in a side door of the ship. You certainly couldn't do this today with all the drug and arms smuggling going on. Very interesting photo....

The Panama Canal Society Reunion was a BLAST!! Now it is over and I start planning next years.....:o} smile.
