As some of you who have been visiting the CZImages website for years now, I have a passion about the old Corozal Theater that was owned and operated by the U.S. Army. Corozal was a good size Army base at one time and big enough to build a large cement theater. As I have mentioned in other posts about the old theater, we used to hang out and explore the old abandoned theater when we were kids. Below are two links to past photos of the week about the old theater. March 27, 2005 Photo of the Week June 15, 2008 Photo of the Week I came across this photo by luck when a retired Master Sergeant by the name of Rick Cannon contacted me about an old photo album he had and this photo was in this album. I was jumping for joy when I saw this photo which is the best of the old theater I have ever seen. Rick sent me a few of the photos to scan and then returned them to him. I will post a couple others next week of the old Corozal Swimming Pool that was filled in with dirt when PCC took over the real estate and built Los Rios. The most interesting part of this old photo album is Rick found it up in some rafters in a house in Fort Gulick. Wow...what a strange story. Hence we don't know who the original owner of the album was, but I am sure the owner is in some of the photos. Thank you Rick for sharing this and the other wonderful photos. You are now an official CZImages contributor.
