Great old colorized photo taken in the mid 1920s of the Balboa Docks. The photo was taken from the Port Captain's building. The sidewalk and grassy area between the Port Captain building and the dock was replaced with a parking lot in later years. The docks were also fenced in in later years. The most wonderful thing about this photo is how open and free things were back then. Here you have automobile and pedestrian traffic traveling the dock area.
