Photo of the Week

Here is a great old photo of Roosevelt Avenue in Balboa. By the look of the car, this must have been in the 1920s. Note the car on the opposite side of the road. Balboa High School isn't even thought of yet. On the photograph, you can see the Balboa Train Station in the washed out over expose white area on the left. Roosevelt Avenue and it's beautiful trees have been part of our Zonian heritage for many years. When some of the trees took ill from a tree fungus, some were cut down and replaced to carry on the heritage. I wonder what the fate of these fine old friends will be now?
