With Gorgona Island on the far shore, the cayucos line up for the beginning of a long haul to Pedro Miguel Locks...100 years ago, with no Gatun Lake, and just the Chagres River, there was one big town site called Gorgona on that island.  Where you see the red clay bank and palm, the Gorgona Cemetery sat.  I remember seeing the old graves being washed out from the passing ships.
