Here is a blown up view of another photo showing the Victoria Spillway a little better.  As the dredge moves closer, the spillway will eventually be on the new shore's edge.  I find the construction of  the spillway very interesting as they constructed it in the middle of a field and eventually came to the water's edge.  Dredging Division Photo 10/31/41
