Okay...this week we are going back to the Gatun Aides of Navigation building.  I was going through the 35mm slides that were used by Mr. Laverty's presentation at the 1993 Panama Canal Reunion and I jumped for joy when I found this one of the Aides of Navigation building and docks.  Since this presentation was given in 1993, I assume that this photo was taken then or shortly before.  It is a Panama Canal Commission photo.  Thing had changed much since the early 1970's when the old building was a bar.  Most of the old parking lot has been reduced in size to make way for the line handler operation .

I am so happy I finally found a good photo of the old building.  I am going to be showing more photos from this slide presentation in the weeks to come.
