Photo of the Week
August 29, 2021

This week we have two more great photos that were taken by the PCC photographer.  This photo has a collection of important structures that made up the PCC Maintenance Division Balboa Field Office.  I always wondered what the large cement slab/s in the area between the railroad tracks and Albrook field.  Well here is what was there.  Most of these buildings were taken down with the exception of the field office's admin building first building and center as you enter the complex.  (See below) This building was later converted to a training center for PCC.  Some other buildings survived and were used by Shriners and Maritime Union. There is nothing there today.

You can see the Civil Affairs Building - Library / Museum in the distance and the large hanger that burned down during Operation Just Cause.

Both of these photos were taken on the same day.
